|dc.description.abstract||BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE|Some of Bowman's previous positions were Deputy Director of Ballistic Systems and Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Department and Assistant Dean at the Air Force Institute of Technology, where he initiated the Space Systems Design curriculum. From 1971 to 1974, Dr. Bowman was in charge of aeronautics for the European Office of Aerospace Research and Development in London, where he was responsible for Air Force and NASA contracts in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Southern Asia. He is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and the Air War College. The military career which took him to 34 countries around the world resulted in some two dozen decorations, most of which were earned in combat.||en_US|
