dc.description.abstract | The first phase of the problem was to become acquainted with paper chromatography and to find the technique which would be most suitable for subsequent experiments. A modification of Redfield's (29) method of two-dimensional paper chromatography was used. Slight changes were made with his method which would allow optimal development and identification of the "spots" with ninhydrin. Once the technique was standardized, experiments on protein hydrolysates were undertaken. This was done to see which amino-acids they contained. | en_US |
