This book represents a mistake on my part. I thought the story was Babrius' (#136) of the boy who is doomed to be killed by a lion and so locked away in a deserted home with a lion pictured on one of its wooden walls.... This story is rather that of a contemporary boy who enters the scene pictured on his bedroom wall and rides the magic lion Leo through three adventures that end up rescuing the princess Beatrice. This is a very 60's book, in story and art. I include it in the collection to keep some future researcher or book-purchaser from making my mistake again!en_US
