"I searched for this pair of volumes for months and found them in my "extras":collection. Perhaps I got partway through cataloguing them or recataloguing them. In any case, what a joy to find them now! Earlier I had been given the 1948 reprint of this Budé text in two volumes. I am delighted now to find the original. The special feature of this pair of volumes is that, as the cover of this first volume shows, the pair belonged to one of my heroes, Prof. Bernard Knox. I would never have thought that I would come into possession of one of his books. A lovely softbound pair of volumes. There are notes at the back, especially on sources and variants, and then a T of C. This volume contains Books 1-6. Some uncut pages."
